
studied music at the Lucerne and Bern Colleges of Music, and subsequently cultural sciences and culture management in Ludwigsburg, earning his doctorate in 2005.
He was a staff member of the Southwest German Radio (SWR), research associate at the Institute for Artistic Research of the Bern College of the Arts, founding member and manager of the Biennale Bern, and, after receiving his doctorate, active at the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science, Research, and the Arts as advisor for the “image of the music-land Lower Saxony.”
Since June 2008 he has headed the Swiss national research project “eMotion” at the Institute for Design and Art Research of the College of Design and Art in Basel. Tröndle is founding member and member of the board of the Cultural Management Professional Association.
Since 2009 Tröndle has been junior professor for music management and arts research at the Zeppelin University. His research encompasses the areas of cultural management and cultural outreach (emphasis on music), organizational and art theory, as well as aesthetics of economy.
