YEAH! Young EARopean Award

Access to music

YEAH! is Europe's first competition for music mediation & outreach.

YEAH! is on the lookout for new concert formats and participative projects that use innovative ways to make music attractive for young people and for the young at heart.

YEAH! wants to support European music culture that is modern and open and stands for creativity and quality.

The YEAH! award is given to productions and projects in the categories "performance" and "process" and is endowed with a total of 40,000 euro.

YEAH! festival
Cross-border encounters through music  - that's the idea behind YEAH! Young EARopean Award and its festival. Not only will the celebratory award ceremony take place at the summer 2015 festival in Osnabrück, Germany; the festival also adds a wonderful podium to the competition, spotlighting young and up to date concert formats. Performances, workshops and conferences form an inspiring marketplace for European encounters and a lively exchange of ideas.

Who can apply?
YEAH! is aimed at professional organizers, artists, cultural operators as well as cultural institutions of European music that address new audiences with their productions and projects.
The productions and projects need to have taken place between February 1st 2013 and June 30th 2014.

YEAH! Young EARopean Award is a project of the Stiftung Stahlwerk Georgsmarienhütte and the netzwerk junge ohren.
